Australia's racing community is mourning the death of young jockey Tim Bell who fell to his death from his high-rise apartment block in Singapore.
Bell, 22, was a rising star, having won the 2013-14 Brisbane Jockey's Premiership in his first senior season.
How he fell is unclear. One report says he was locked out and was trying to climb up to his 12th-floor property.
Racing Queensland's Acting CEO Ian Hall said Bell would be remembered as a "brilliant rider".
"It is tragic when someone so young and with so much talent is taken away from us," Mr Hall said.
"Racing Queensland joins with the entire racing community in offering our sincerest condolences to Tim's family and his partner Heidi."
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation said the jockey tripped and fell from his apartment on Tuesday night.

A Singapore Turf Club statement said: "From unconfirmed reports it appears [Bell] locked himself out from his unit, and fell to his death after attempting to climb up to the 12th-storey apartment to get his house keys."
Police say they were called to the property on Tuesday evening and found a man lying motionless at the foot of the building.
"He was conveyed unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries."
The jockey had only recently moved to Singapore to further his career.
Queensland Jockeys' Association president Glen Prentice told ABC that Mr Bell "wanted to reach the top" and took up a three-month contract in Singapore.
"He felt like he'd achieved a lot in Brisbane and wanted to expand his horizons, get some international experience, to achieve goals and win Melbourne Cups and be regarded in the top bracket of riders - not only in the country but all around the world."

Ronda Rousey Is Pissed at Justin Bieber for Shutting Down Her Sister

Watch out Justin Bieber, you just messed with the wrong little sister!
UFC champion Ronda Rousey has said that she's no longer a Belieber after the pop sensation snubbed her 16-year-old sis at Cannes Film Festival.

According to Rousey...

"Justin Bieber was over there taking pictures with some ladies..."

"...and suddenly she [Rousey's sister] got really excited and said 'do you think he'd wanna take a picture with me?' and I was like 'Sure Julie, don't worry about it'"

"I walked over there and said 'excuse me'. He turns to me and goes 'I've already taken a billionpictures today, okay'"

"And I said 'yeah but'...because she's the only 16-year-old at the whole party, you know? But I only got out 'yeah but-' and he goes 'a billion' and walks off."

"She looks at me and she's on the verge of tears, and she goes: 'I'm no longer a Belieber'. Yeah, I don't think I'd wanna hang out with him. I'm not a Belieber. I was, but not anymore..."

'She's my woman': UFC fighter Travis Browne says he and women's champ Ronda Rousey are 'together'

It's been rumored for a while that UFC stars Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne are romantically involved and now Browne has come out and confirmed it.
'I'll say now that we are together,' Browne, 33, said during an interview on The MMA Hour Live on Monday. 'She's my woman and I am her man.'
The pair hooked up, as TMZ reported, after he split from Jenna Renee Webb who accused him in July of having beaten her. He denied the allegation.

Things appear to have moved quickly between the two fighters.
'There's no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There's no dating,' he emphasized. 'We're together.'
Browne, who's six-foot, seven-inches tall, revealed that he and the five-foot, six-inch Rousey started chatting over the summer and things just blossomed.

Rousey, 28, is currently training hard ahead of her Melbourne, Australia, championship bout with Holly Holm next month.
The athletic blonde is also doing the rounds of TV talk shows to hype up the fight.
While Browne was spilling the beans on their relationship, she was appearing on Live! With Kelly And Michael in New York.
The news is not without controversy, though.

Browne's fitness model ex, who lives in Florida, posted photos on her Instagram account in July, purporting to show bruises caused by the mixed martial artist who competes as a heavyweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
As a result of Webb's claims, the Hawaiian-born athlete was suspended by the UFC and forbidden to take part in UFC 189 Fight Week while an investigation was launched into the allegations.
Investigators concluded there wasn't sufficient evidence to prove he was guilty of domestic violence and he was ultimately reinstated.

Browne said he has cut off all communication with Webb and is moving on with his life, thanks to Rousey.
He said he's smitten with the California native whom he describes as a 'sweetheart' outside of the octagon.
'I see her for who she is,' he explained.
As for Rousey's celebrity status, he's not fazed by it, he said.
'She's a huge star and that's great for her and I'm happy for her,' he said, according to mmafighting.com. 'I want nothing to do but support that aspect in her life.'

George H.W. Bush throws out first pitch at Houston Astros playoff game

Former president George H.W. Bush, 91, is still recovering from a fractured vertebrae in his neck, but it wasn't going to stop him from throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before a playoff game involving his beloved Houston Astros on Sunday night.

Bush, who was wearing a brace on his neck from a fall he suffered in July, threw a short, left-handed pitch from his wheelchair to the Astros' Jed Lowrie at Minute Maid Park to get the home crowd fired up. Accompanied by former first lady Barbara Bush and wearing orange socks to go with his Astros jersey, he got a hug from Lowrie after his pitch. In its first home playoff game in 10 years, Houston went on to beat the Kansas City Royals 4-2 to take a 2-1 lead in the American League Division Series.
Former President George HW Bush and Barbara Bush are here for the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3.
Baseball has long been part of Bush's life, as he was a first baseman and captain on the 1948 team at Yale University.
Dad was first baseman in college. Took him all this time to figure out he was a pitcher. Nice W ‘stros!

David Beckham Trains for His Return to Soccer with Son Brooklyn and Harry Styles

 ANDREA PARK

10/10/2015 AT 03:00 PM EDT

If you're friends with David Beckham, you have to be willing to drop everything and play a quick game of soccer – even if you're a world famous pop star.

Beckham shared a star-studded photo to his Instagram account on Friday of a "kick around with mates" in preparation for an upcoming charity soccer match.

"Nice way to warm up before the big game," Beckham, 40, captioned the photo, which shows his son Brooklyn, 16, crouching beside Becks, and One Direction member Harry Styles standing behind them.

The UNICEF Match for Children will be on Nov. 14 and will mark Beckham's first time playing an official match since his retirement in 2013. The game will take place at Old Trafford field, home of the Manchester United team whom Beckham played with until 2003. The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and father of four announced his return to the field with an Instagram post earlier this week.

Styles and Beckham have become good friends over the years: They attended a play together in London's West End in 2013 and David was invited to the boy-bander's 21st birthday earlier this year.

SANDY, Utah (AP) — The United States is in danger of missing its second straight men's Olympic soccer tournament.
Alberth Elis scored in the 24th and 77th minutes, and Honduras beat the U.S. 2-0 Saturday to qualify for next year's Rio de Janeiro Games.
To reach the Olympics for the first time since 2008, the Americans must beat Canada on Tuesday in the third-place game of North and Central American and Caribbean qualifying, then defeat Colombia in the CONCACAF-South America one-game playoff, to be held in Rio from March 21-29.
"We have to win," Columbus midfielder Wil Trapp said. "Plain and simple. That's all it takes. There's no other way. We can't read into this result anymore. It's over — disappointing as it was. We got to move forward."
Olympic qualifying is limited to under-23 teams, and the Americans were eliminated four years ago in the group stage. Senior national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann said failing to reach the London Olympics set back the careers of players in that age group, which included Brek Shea, Mix Diskerud and Bill Hamid.
Now another age group could miss out on the Olympics. Among the American starters were New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga, Tottenham under-21 defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, Fulham midfielder Emerson Hyndman, Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil and Stanford forward Jordan Morris, who already has scored for the U.S. senior national team.
"We were not able to deal with the situation today," U.S. coach Andi Herzog said. "It's sad, but it's the truth."
Herzog cannot be on the bench for Tuesday's game after receiving a red card in the 81st minute from referee Jafeth Perea of Panama, who also gave a red to Honduras coach Carlos Tabora.
Elis put the Hondurans ahead when he chested a pass from Kevin Alvarez and lobbed the ball over two defenders and inside a post of goalkeeper Ethan Horvath.
The U.S. had just two shots on goal in each half. The best chance was in the 63rd, minute, when goalkeeper Luis Lopez made a diving one-handed deflection on Carter-Vickers' header off a corner kick.
Elis doubled the lead when he flicked the ball inside the far post following Kevin Lopez's cross.
"We had our plan, but we weren't able to do it in the right way," Herzog said. "That's the most disappointing thing."
As the Americans pressed for a goal, Trapp, Fatai Alashe and Jerome Kiesewetter were given yellow cards from the 75th minute on.
"It's an emotional game with a lot on the line," Trapp said. "They managed the game pretty well. Can't fault them for that."
